Bruins lose ugly to Montreal

The Bruins got beat 4-1 by Montreal last night but people aren't talking about that, they're talking about the interference hit that Zdeno Chara put on Max Pacioretty where Pacioretty hit his head against the partition

Update on Pacioretty's condition:
Canadiens coach Jacques Martin announced Wednesday that forward Max Pacioretty, who was motionless on the ice after taking a hit into a stanchion along the boards from Zdeno Chara Tuesday night, suffered a severe concussion and fractured the fourth cervical vertebrae.

The only Bruins goal came from Milan Lucic in the third period (his 29th goal). It was a beautiful wrist shot from far out.

Tuukka Rask played in net and didn't look sharp as he gave up quite a few rebounds. Rask made 22 saves on 26 shots. Rask is now 9-12-1, with a 2.73 GAA, and a .918 save percentage.

Some notes from the game
In the first period, Johnny Boychuk went for a big hit to lay out P.K. Subban but missed. Ryan White went after Boychuk and instigated a fight with him. Both guys looked to land some punches. As the game went on, on NESN you could see under Boychuk's left eye was a bruise/bump. Watch the fight here.

Adam McQuaid led the Bruins in hits with 6.

Patrice Bergeron, back in the lineup, went 13-3 in the faceoff circle.

Tyler Seguin only had 8:55 of ice time.

David Krejci now leads the Bruins in points with 51, surpassing Patrice Bergeron who hasn't been putting up points as he was previously.

Onto the next one
The Bruins next game is on Thursday against the Buffalo Sabres in Boston.
