Wow it's open season on the Bruins. I didn't expect this. Props to Matt Kalman's Bruins blog for posting about this as I didn't see this article but Joe Thornton had some comments about Boston and how the Bruins don't get disciplined.
Yes Lucic has to learn to keep his stick down just as you Joe Thornton had trouble doing that same thing in your early days for the Bruins. Lucic will learn as Thornton did. I guess Thornton missed the non-suspension for Matt Cooke's cheapshot/headshot on Marc Savard and the light 2-games suspension for Randy Jones' hit on Patrice Bergeron. The disciplinary process was on the Bruins side then too right Joe?
Just to note, Joe Thornton has been suspended this season for 2 games for a blindside headshot on St. Louis Blues David Perron, who hasn't played since November 4th.
"It's just something with Boston. It just seems like they have a horseshoe. We've seen the [Milan] Lucic cross-check to the head [of Dominic Moore] earlier, and there's no disciplinary thing.
"It's just something about Boston and the disciplinary [process] is on their side. I'm not sure why that is. I'm not assuming that Colin's kid is on the team and that's why, but it's really bizarre."

Also just to note, a few incidents where others have gotten away with incidents against the Bruins, besides the ones above, such as Steve Begin's (Montreal) cross check on Marc Savard that broke a bone in his back and Scott Walker's (Carolina) sucker punch on Aaron Ward.
