The first line of David Krejci-Milan Lucic-Nathan Horton has awaken and showed a dominating performance in this afternoon's game 1 against the Philadelphia Flyers in a 7-3 Bruins Game 1 win. In all, the first line had 6 points (3 goals and 3 assists). Krejci finished with 2 goals and 2 assists, while Horton had 1 goal and 1 assist, and Lucic had 0 points but was noticeable and had a good game, along with leading the Bruins with 4 hits.

Lots of scoring in this one. In the first period, Krejci scored his 2nd goal of the playoffs to make it 1-0. Briere would later tie the game. With 36 seconds left in the period, Horton scored his 4th goal of the playoffs to make it 2-1 Bruins.

In the second period, ageless wonder Mark Recchi scored his 2nd goal of the playoffs making it 3-1 Bruins. Krejci would score another, his 3rd goal of the playoffs, to make it 4-1. Brad Marchand would later score his 2nd goal of the playoffs making it 5-1. Flyers starter Brian Boucher would then get pulled and Sergei Bobrovsky would come in to calm things down. After the goalie change, van Riemsdyk scored to make it 5-2.

Notes from the game
Battle of the big men: Zdeno Chara was +3 with 2 hits and 28:08 of ice time. Flyers Chris Pronger was -4 with 1 hit and 19:45 of ice time. They even exchanged some pleasantries when Pronger was standing in front of Tim Thomas on a power-play.

Lucic got a misconduct at 15:29 of the third period. During a break, Flyers Rinaldo skated up behind Lucic and cross checked him in the lower back and Lucic responded with a gloved punch.

Patrice Bergeron had 3 assists while going 12-8 in the faceoff circle.

Marchand had 2 goals and an assist.

Dennis Seidenberg had 2 assists and was +4 in 25:43 of ice time.

Onto the next one
Game 2 is on Monday at 7:30pm. Bruins lead the series 1-0. This series has just begun so don't get too excited about this win because the Bruins need to play just like this every game and they'll have a good chance to win. This series will definitely be exciting. I can see Chris Pronger will start stirring things up, especially if the Flyers get down two games. Maybe he'll steal some more game pucks. Who knows, anything can happen in the playoffs. It should be fun to watch.
