The NHL has announced that Canucks defenseman has been suspended for 4 games for his late hit on Bruins Nathan Horton.
"Two factors were considered in reaching this decision," said NHL senior vice president of hockey operations Mike Murphy. "The hit by Rome was clearly beyond what is acceptable in terms of how late it was delivered after Horton had released the puck and it caused a significant injury."

Horton's agent, Paul Krepelka, was with the winger in the hospital last night. He said that after being woozy in the ambulance, Horton was up and alert last night. Horton was released from the hospital this morning.
While Horton's concussion is termed "severe," Krepelka said that so far tests for any other injuries have come back negative.
