Shanahan has suspended Brad Marchand for 5 games for his clipping major on Canucks Sami Salo. Watch his video below of the explanation of the suspension.
One last thing I want to point out is that Marchand ducked a hit from Panthers Erik Gudbranson on December 8th this season and he wasn't suspended. I don't even think he was given a penalty. Gudbranson took a run at him and Marchand ducked and Gudbranson went over him.
