Bruins get blanked by Senators 1-0

The Bruins were back at home after a long road trip as they took on the Ottawa Senators. The Senators outplayed the Bruins for the first two periods and got a 1-0 lead. The Bruins played better in the third period but could not get one past Robin Lehner as the Senators won 1-0.

In the first period, Erik Karlsson scored a power-play goal to make it 1-0 Ottawa. The penalty call on Tyler Seguin was a bad call as he knocked the stick out of an Ottawa player for interference.

In the second period, no scoring happened.

In the third period, no scoring happened.

Game notes
Newly acquired Bruins, Brian Rolston (8:21 of ice time) and Mike Mottau (10:49 of ice time) played tonight and Greg Zanon did not.

The Bruins led the game in faceoff wins 37-33 and hits 28-11. The Senators led the game in shots 38-32 and blocked shots 18-11.

The Bruins went 0-for-4 on the power-play while the Senators went 1-for-3.
