Thursday night the Bruins beat the Buffalo Sabres 3-1 and finally have a 2-game winning streak. They haven't had one of those since January. It was mainly Bruins in this game although the Sabres had some opportunities to tie the game but the Bruins held on for the win.

Quick game summary
In the first period, Bruins killer Jason Pominville scored to make it 1-0 Sabres. Pominville blasted a high slap shot short-side on Tim Thomas who was caught cheating and wasn't against the post.

In the second period, Gregory Campbell scored his 7th goal of the season to tie the game, as the Sabres defense couldn't handle a pass, Shawn Thornton let go a quick slap shot and Campbell deflected it by Jhonas Enroth.

In the third period, Johnny Boychuk scored his 4th goal of the season on a "Johnny Rocket" slap shot that blew right by and over Enroth's shoulder. Boychuk also had a big hit on Thomas Vanek in the period. Later, David Krejci scored his 18th goal of the season to put the Sabres away.

Tim Thomas played in net and made 19 saves on 20 shots. Thomas is now 29-15-0 with a 2.29 GAA and a .925 save percentage so far this season.
