Tim Thomas looks like himself and Bs beat Kings

Saturday's Bruins-Kings game was a good one as Tim Thomas looked to be in his old form, stopping 40 of 42 shots he faced in the Bruins 4-2 win over the Kings.

Quick game summary
In the first period, no scoring happened and there was one fight. Chris Kelly dropped the gloves with Trevor Lewis, after Lewis put a good hit on Kelly. Kelly controlled most of the fight.

In the second period, Patrice Bergeron scored his 20th goal of the season, a shorthanded goal, making it 1-0. Colin Fraser later tied it 1-1 for the Kings.

In the third period, Milan Lucic scored his 24th goal of the season, making it 2-1 Bruins. A little more than a minute later, Chris Kelly scored his 19th goal of the season, making it 3-1. Slava Voynov later scored for the Kings making it 3-2. With a minute left in the game the Kings pulled Jonathan Quick for the extra attacker. Brad Marchand would score an empty net goal as he shot it down the ice to clear the zone, scoring his 25th goal of the season, finishing the game 4-2. The puck would cross the goal line just barely before the time ran out on the clock.

This was Zdeno Chara's 1,000th career NHL game.

Tim Thomas is now 32-19-0 with a 2.40 GAA and a .920 save percentage this season.

The Kings led the game in shots 42-25, faceoff wins 34-24, hits 32-27 and blocked shots 11-10.

The Bruins are now 43-28-3 with 89 points (2nd in Eastern Conference, 1st in Northeast Divison). The Bruins next play Sunday/tonight at the Anaheim Ducks at 8pm ET. The Ducks won't be going to the playoffs this season so the Bruins have to be careful with this one and try to pull out this win. They need the points.
