Bruins power-play nets game winning goal vs Jets

You read the blog post title right, as the Bruins power-play scored the game winning goal against the Winnipeg Jets as Brad Marchand scored only 36 seconds into the third period with a wicked backhand shot that got by goalie Ondrej Pavelec.

Quick game summary

In the second period, Jets Alex Burmistrov scored to make it 1-0 Jets. Bruins Tyler Seguin scored his 3rd goal of the season later to tie the game 1-1. Jets Evander Kane scored with 27 seconds left in the period to make it 2-1 Jets. Bruins Daniel Paille scored his 2nd goal of the season with a redirection on a Johnny Boychuk shot-pass, to tie the game 2-2.

Game notes
Tuukka Rask played in net for the Bruins and made 22 saves on 24 shots. Rask is now 7-1-2 with a 2.06 GAA and a .919 save percentage this season.

The Jets led the game in hits 25-21 and faceoff wins 28-24. Both teams had 20 blocked shots. The Bruins went 1-for-1 on the power-play and the Jets went 0-for-2.

Player notes
Milan Lucic did not play and returned to Boston for personal reasons. We hope all is ok. With Lucic out, Jay Pandolfo made his Bruins debut with 3 hits in 6:48 of ice time.
