Boston Bruins tribute of former Bruins defenseman and current Edmonton Oilers captain Andrew Ference, on February 1, 2014.
On Saturday, the Bruins welcomed back former Bruin Andrew Ference (see video on the left) and backup goalie Chad Johnson got his first shutout as the Bruins beat the Oilers 4-0.

Quick game summary
In the first period, no scoring happened. Although there was no scoring, Bruins Shawn Thornton dropped the gloves with Oilers rookie tough guy Luke Gazdic. It looked like Gazdic landed one punch on Thornton and Thornton went down but got back up quickly but the linesmen broke them up before anything else happened. Definitely a win for Gazdic.

In the second period, Bruins David Krejci scored his 12th goal of the season, a power-play goal, making it 1-0 Bruins.

In the third period, Bruins Dougie Hamilton scored his 6th goal of the season, making it 2-0 Bruins. Later, Bruins Carl Soderberg scored his 8th goal of the season, making it 3-0 Bruins. Later, Bruins Torey Krug scored his 12th goal of the season, a power-play goal, making it 4-0 Bruins.
