Bruins beat Panthers 2-1 in overtime

On Sunday the Bruins announced that they signed coach Claude Julien to a multi-year contract extension. Julien's record behind the Bruins bench is 317-171-65 in 553 games with a .632 win percentage. On Wednesday, ex-Bruin Shawn Thornton returned to Boston as a member of the Panthers and was given an ovation by the fans thanking him for his time in Boston. He will never be forgotten for his time in Boston.

David Krejci was out of the Bruins lineup but Brad Marchand stepped up his game and had his best game of the season as he came away with the game-winnng goal in overtime for the Bruins.
