Avalanche beat Bruins in shootout 3-2

Yesterday the Bruins played their last game before the All-Star break as they visited the Colorado Avalanche. The Bruins wound up going to another extra period game and then to a shootout where they would lose 3-2 to the Avalanche.

Quick game summary
In the first period, Avalanche Jarome Iginla scored with less than a second left in the period, making it 1-0 Avalanche.

In the second period, Bruins Torey Krug scored his 9th goal of the season, tying the game 1-1.

In the third period, Bruins Dougie Hamilton got into his first NHL fight, against Avalanche Gabriel Landeskog. Later, Bruins Brad Marchand scored his 13th goal of the season, making it 2-1 Bruins. Later, Avalanche Ryan O'Reilly scored, tying the game 2-2.

In overtime, no scoring happened.

In the shootout, Avalanche Nathan MacKinnon scored to win the game.

Tuukka Rask played in net and made 34 saves on 36 shots. Rask is now 20-11-7 this season.
