Hurricanes beat Bruins 2-1 in shootout

Earlier today the Bruins visited the Carolina Hurricanes and it was once again another game that went into extra periods. The Hurricanes wound up beating the Bruins 2-1 in a shootout.

Quick game summary
In the first period, Bruins Gregory Campbell dropped the gloves with Hurricanes Brad Malone. Later, Hurricanes Patrick Dwyer scored, making it 1-0 Hurricanes.

In the second period, Bruins Patrice Bergeron scored his 8th goal of the season, tying the game 1-1.

In the third period, no scoring happened.

In overtime, no scoring happened.

In the shootout, Hurricanes Eric Staal scored to win the game.

Game notes
