Ducks beat Bruins 6-2

It is frustrating being a Bruins fan as you don't know when the Bruins will actually show up and play hockey. Tonight, the Bruins didn't show up until the third period but they couldn't do much against a more hungrier and grittier Ducks team. The Bruins wound up losing 6-2 to the Ducks.

In the first period, Bruins Zach Trotman scored his 1st goal of the season, making the score 1-0 Bruins. Later, Ducks Chris Stewart dropped the gloves with Bruins Torey Krug. Jonas Gustavsson started the game in net, played the whole first period and then did not return. It was announced during the game that Gustavsson left after the first period due to illness and he was transported to Mass General Hospital for observation. Gustavsson made 14 saves on 16 shots, is still 9-3-1 and now has a 2.38 GAA and a .915 save percentage this season. Tuukka Rask played the second and third periods and made 19 saves on 22 shots. Rask took the loss in this game and is now 17-15-4 with a 2.49 GAA and a .917 save percentage this season.

The Bruins led the game in hits 20-15 and faceoff wins 34-31. The Ducks led the game in shots 39-34 and blocked shots 13-11. The Bruins went 0-for-4 on the power-play while the Ducks went 1-for-4.
