On Thursday, the Bruins visited the Buffalo Sabres and it was rather a pretty boring game despite a few big hits. The game would go into overtime and it looked like the Bruins were trying to hold on for a shootout as they are definitely not built for 3-on-3. To my surprise the Bruins came away with a shootout win with Ryan Spooner scoring a nice goal and Tuukka Rask stopping all opponents he faced.

Quick game summary
In the first period, Sabres Evander Kane scored, making the score 1-0 Sabres.

In the second period, Sabres Sam Reinhart scored, making the score 2-0 Sabres. Less than a minute later, Bruins Ryan Spooner scored his 11th goal of the season, making the score 2-1.

In the third period, Bruins Brad Marchand scored his 23rd goal of the season, tying the game 2-2.

In overtime, no one scored.

In the shootout, Bruins Ryan Spooner scored the only goal to win the game 3-2 for the Bruins.
