That is called special treatment for a star player. We all know if someone like Marchand or Rinaldo did something like that, they would have been given a game misconduct. Later, Capitals Karl Alzner scored, tying the game 1-1.

In overtime, Capitals Matt Niskanen scored, winning the game 2-1.
