In case you missed it, the 2016 NHL Draft was on June 24th and 25th, and the Bruins had two first-round draft picks this year. Here are the Bruins 2016 draft selections:

Round 1 selections
Charlie McAvoy, 14th overall pick, defenseman, 6'1" 200lbs, 18 years old (will turn 19 in December), born in Long Beach, N.Y., shoots right

Trent Frederic, 29th overall pick, center, 6'2" 203lbs, 18 years old, born in St. Louis, MO, shoots left, he describes himself as a two-way physical player

Round 2 selection
Ryan Lindgren, 49th overall pick, defenseman, 6'0" 198lbs, 18 years old, born in Burnsville, Minnesota, shoots left

Round 5 selections
Joona Koppanen, 135th overall pick, center, 6'5" 194lbs, 18 years old, born in Tampere, Finland, shoots left

Cameron Clarke, 136th overall pick, defenseman, 6'1" 170lbs, 18 years old, born in Tecumseh, Michigan, shoots right

Round 6 selection
Oskar Steen, 165th overall pick, forward, 5'9" 187lbs, 18 years old, born in Karlstad, Sweden, shoots right

Round 7
The Bruins traded their 7th round pick in this year's draft to the Florida Panthers in exchange for Florida's 7th round pick in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft.

Bruins don't give qualifying offers to three
On Tuesday, the Bruins decided not to give qualifying offers to Brett Connolly, Landon Ferraro and minor leaguer Ben Sexton. We can expect that the Bruins will not re-sign any of these three players.
