Maple Leafs beat Bruins 4-1

On Saturday, the Bruins visited the Toronto Maple Leafs in their second game of the season, but they couldn't extend their early-season winning streak. The Bruins fell behind in the first period and couldn't come back as they did against the Blue Jackets on Thursday, and they ended up losing 4-1 to the Leafs.

Quick game summary
In the first period, Leafs Connor Brown scored, making the score 1-0 Leafs. Off the next faceoff after the goal, Bruins David Backes dropped the gloves with Leafs Nazem Kadri and they had a spirited battle. Later, Leafs Mitchell Marner scored, making the score 2-0 Leafs. Less than two minutes later, Leafs James van Riemsdyk scored, making the score 3-0 Leafs. Later, Bruins David Pastrnak scored his 3rd goal of the season, a power-play goal, making the score 3-1.

In the second period, no scoring happened.

In the third period, Leafs Milan Michalek scored, making the score 4-1 Leafs. Later, after Leafs Matt Martin laid a good hit on Bruins Torey Krug, Bruins Zdeno Chara went after and challenged Martin to a bout. Chara and Martin dropped the gloves and had an ok fight but not much happened (watch video of the fight above).

Game notes
Anton Khudobin played in net and made 20 saves on 24 shots. Khudobin is now 0-1-0 with a 4.00 GAA and a .833 save percentage this season.

The Bruins led the game in shots 25-24. The Maple Leafs led the game with a 62% faceoff percentage, hits 28-24 and blocked shots 18-13. The Bruins went 1-for-4 on the power-play while the Maple Leafs went 0-for-4.

Patrice Bergeron, Joe Morrow and Tim Schaller were scratched for the Bruins.
