Bruins sign Charlie McAvoy to 3-year entry-level contract

On Monday, the Bruins announced that they have signed Boston University defenseman Charlie McAvoy to a 3-year entry-level contract, beginning with the 2016-17 season. McAvoy is expected to join the Boston Bruins for Monday's practice at Warrior Ice Arena.

McAvoy played in 4 games with the Providence Bruins (AHL), recorded 2 assists and was a +3. McAvoy was selected by the Bruins in the 1st round (14th overall) of the 2016 NHL Entry Draft.
