Adam McQuaid

Today it was announced that Bruins defenseman Adam McQuaid is scheduled to have surgery on October 23rd for his broken right fibula. McQuaid is expected to miss 8 weeks.

Chara gets hat trick, Bruins dominate Canes

In today's game against the Carolina Hurricanes, Chara scored his first career NHL hat trick in a dominate 7-0 win over the Canes. In the first period, the scoring started with Mark Stuart, his first game back from a hand injury, scoring his 1st goal of the season on a slap shot from the point and a screened Cam Ward couldn't make the save. Later, with Milan Lucic back in the lineup, a Lucic goal was washed out as Chara had a delayed penalty for slashing.
