Today the Boston Bruins announced that they have hired Jim Montgomery as their new head coach, the 29th in Bruins history. This will be Montgomery's second head coaching job, as he was the head coach for the Dallas Stars during the 2018-19 and 2019-20 seasons, where his record was 61-43-0-10. Montgomery played in the NHL, totaling 122 games for five different teams (St. Louis Blues, Montreal Canadiens, Philadelphia Flyers, San Jose Sharks, and Dallas Stars).
When information comes out about how many years Montgomery was signed for, I will update this blog post.
